1 DAY RESET – or how to get back on track
You are what you eat!
And sometimes we just eat and drink way more than we should.
I can’t tell you how many times I would go to a party thinking that I am definitely going to withstand the temptation of delicious treats, great wine and evil sweets.
Ugh! The moment you finish your first glass of champagne or red vino, your consciousness starts dancing on the table and acting inappropriately. In addition to that, it persuades you to eat whatever you desire and as much, as you can fit in your mouth and continue drinking, of course! God forbids you offend the hosts of that beautiful party… Sometimes, parties like “that” turn into a long weekend or a vacation… You know exactly what I’m talking about!
The next morning though, after dust has settled and sun has mercilessly risen, your consciousness embarrassingly hides behind the guilt, thinking that it’s somehow will make things better.
Well, dear consciousness, it never does.
There were many times, out of guilt, I ate even more cake and other delicious leftovers (totally guilt’s fault, right?!).
You have two choices: continue binging and feeling sorry for your-bloated-self, mastering the art of seeking and finding excuses OR rebooting your body, just like a glitching computer, and move on to a healthier and happier you.
I, personally, hate feeling like a bloat fish and this is my remedy plan!
1-Day-Reset
Hot water – 8 oz
Fresh Lemon Juice – 1 lemon
Fresh Ground Ginger – 2” knob
Raw Honey (Optional) – 1 teaspoon
Now, this concoction is magical! It does your body right, by waking it up, speeding up its metabolism and detoxifying it, all at the same time.
You can drink it hot or cold during the day, whenever hungry. Morning has to start with a warm/hot drink, though.
2. Morning Glory
Green Apple – 1 small
Spinach – 1 bunch
Cucumber – 1 whole
Ginger – 1 knob
Celery – 1 small stalk
This drink comes with tons of energy, vitamins and antioxidants.
It’s rich in Vitamin A, C, K, Iron, Folate, Potassium and Magnesium.
Drink it right away and feel its green nutritional power!
3. Cleanse and Glow
Lemon – 1 whole
Green Apple – 1 medium
Cabbage – 1 cup, chopped
Celery – 1 small stalk
Kale – 1 cup, chopped
Grapefruit – 1 whole, peeled
I absolutely, love this juice! It’s zesty, refreshing and really energizing. It’s very nutrient dense and so rich in vitamins, like A, K and C.
Drink up for great digestion and glowing skin!
Cucumber – 1 whole
Fennel – 1 cup, sliced
Cabbage – 1 cup, chopped
Ginger – 1 knob
Kale – 1 cup, chopped
Spinach – 1 bunch
Parsley – 1 cup, chopped
Lime – 1 whole
I call it a triple detox power because it contains boosting, detoxifying and healing ingredients.
For example, cucumber, parsley and lime are natural diuretics and help ridding of bloat and all the retaining water in your body. They are also very refreshing and energizing.
Fennel and ginger are nature’s healers, especially when your stomach feels queasy.
Kale, spinach and cabbage are natural energizers that are rich in Iron, Vitamins K and A.
This juice is a hydrating power house that is rich in protein and antioxidants.
Camomile or Lavender tea – 1 cup
Lemon – 1 slice
Raw Honey – 1 teaspoon (optional)
During the whole reset day I aim for 2 gallons of water, by filling up my water tank and placing it on the kitchen counter. This way it’s in front of me during the day and not hidden in the refrigerator.
Add some lemon, basil or mint for flavor and becomes much easier to drink in large amounts!
